Christmas in Tulsa

We spent Christmas in our home for the first time in our 7 years of marriage. It was such a relaxing day and so much fun to watch the girls light up with each surprise! The girls woke up around 9 and came out to see what Santa had left. Their stockings were full. Tessa most liked her Hello Kitty chapsticks and her sparkly necklace. Lyla loved all of her new pacis and rattles. Santa also left the girls an outdoor playhouse and a scooter for Tessa...Tessa has been cruising around the house for days on that scooter...Santa did good!

Next came blueberry muffins and celebrating Jesus birth. After breakfast we opened up the rest of our gifts. Tessa got a leapster and games from Mimi and PaPa and Lyla got a cute laugh and learn kitchen. The girls got all kinds of other neat things... A piano, trios, dress up magnet dolls, princess toys, a strawberry shortcake house, a phone, peek a blocks, make your own cake, blocks, lots of veggie tales and other disney movies, puzzles and probably more... I just can't remember. We didn't really give Lyla as much as Tessa because she is able to play with all of Tessa's old toys. It might be the only year that we are able to get away with that. I feel like our house is being taken over with toys... We had a great Christmas morning!
Next came nap time for Lyla and play time for Tessa. For Christmas dinner we roasted a chicken and had a potato casserole, salad, and bread to go with it. Josh is not into traditional holiday food, so we did our own thing:) By the end of the day we were all exhausted and stuffed! It was a fun day with our family of four!
