Lyla is 10 months!

I can't believe my baby is getting so big! She's eating less and less baby food every day...she loves eating her yogurt with fruit, whole corn, black beans, peas, cheese, spaghetti, broccoli, and goldfish. I'm trying to give her more and more whole foods each week. I've made a point to not give her any sweets until her first birthday cake, but yesterday I caught Josh in the kitchen holding her while eating an oreo. She was staring at it so of course, Josh slipped her a bite... let's just say she loved it. Her eyes lit up and she looked at it like give me more! I was less than thrilled, but in his defense, it was only a tiny piece:)

She is typically a very happy baby...she loves playing in her room and Tessa's room. Her favorite toy is the busy ball popper and her favorite book is touch and feel farm animals. She lights up and laughs every time we read that book. Lyla is really clapping a lot these days. Every time she eats she claps and any time she hears music, she starts clapping too. She is an animal lover! She loves Ellie, our cat, to pieces...and when we go to the target toy section she loves looking and laughing at the "Fur Real" animals...they make noises and move... Lyla is still pretty petite, but pretty much true to size...not too big or too small. She is a good sleeper...typically sleeping from 7 pm to 7:15 am and taking 2 hour and a half, sometimes longer, naps each day. Some of her favorites.... mommy, the outdoors, playing on the bed, the weebles treehouse, her singing stage and piano, baby einstein and praise baby, animals, balls, and taking baths with Tessa. She is still pretty good about not getting into things she isn't supposed to although I have caught her pulling up on the toilet seat a couple of times. Eww...guess we're going to need to work on keeping that door closed!

All in all, she's a precious baby and we're enjoying seeing all of her firsts. It kind of makes me sad that this is most likely the last "firsts" I will see. We love you, little make our family complete!
